China-Canada Mindfulness Association (CCMA) is a non-profit organization registered in Canada that was established in 2020. Our association aims to integrate high-quality mindfulness-related courses and trainers in North America. It intends to help Mandarin speakers worldwide by using mindfulness to reduce anxiety and stress.

CCMA signs cooperative agreement with Centre for Mindfulness Studies (CMS) to deliver an intensive certificate training program for facilitating MBCT (Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy), an 8-week clinical program for the prevention and treatment of mood disorders.

The training initiative consists of a 2-part train-the-trainer program. The first part of the training program is aimed at developing experienced MBCT facilitators. The training will cover facilitation of four CMS workshops that are core to CMS’ MBCT Facilitation Certificate Program.

The second part of the training will be delivered by CCMA starting in spring 2022, and is aimed at training Chinese professionals to facilitate MBCT programs.

1、Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy 8-Week Course (Online)

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) was founded in 1993 by three psychology professors: John Teasdale of Cambridge University, Mark Williams of Oxford University, and Zindel Segal of Toronto University.

The Growing Up Mindful course consists of video/audio lessons and online live video sessions. The course is based on the 20-year clinical experience of Dr. Christopher Willard, a Harvard teacher who has first-hand experience with Mindfulness in children’s education. This course is not about parenting skills or parent-child exercises, but is more about how to change, adapt, and apply.

Our association provides mindfulness workshops intended for different groups of people. Workshops include Mindfulness leadership, Mindfulness to reduce anxiety and stress, workshop for professionals, as well as Mindfulness for teenagers to help them overcome test anxiety, along with mindful self-care training, mindful parent-child communication, Mindfulness nurturing, and positive psychology. These courses and workshops can be customized based on individual needs. Our online courses have detailed multimedia contents that range from audios and videos to animations.
