China-Canada Mindfulness Association (CCMA) is a non-profit organization registered in Canada that was established in 2020. Our association aims to integrate high-quality mindfulness-related courses and trainers in North America. It intends to help Mandarin speakers worldwide by using mindfulness to reduce anxiety and stress.

About Us

Our Story

Mindfulness and compassion are deeply rooted in Chinese culture. Mindfulness has become increasingly popular among North American Mandarin speakers who are eager to systematically learn and practice mindfulness. As mindfulness spreads throughout the Mandarin-speaking world, the demand for Mandarin-language mindfulness classes continues to increase.

In 2020, COVID-19 spread pain and chaos among people worldwide, and led to alarming racial problems and many other troubling issues. As the situation continues to escalate, anxiety and stress have increased rapidly among Mandarin speakers. Our mindfulness faculty members in North America have begun providing online non-profit mindfulness stress reduction courses. Mandarin speakers in North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, and China have joined us and shared methods to stabilize the body and mind as well as relieve anxiety.

In this special situation, CCMA was established to provide high-quality learning methods and faculty resources to serve the Mandarin-speaking community so people can enjoy professional mindfulness resources in their native language at a low cost and with a charitable spirit.

Our Mission

1. Organize mindfulness courses, lectures, workshops, and book clubs. 

2. Introduce the publication of mindfulness books, audiobooks, periodicals, and magazines. 

3. Help on the establishment of in-person and online mindfulness practice groups.

4. Design, develop, and promote MBI courses, such as mindfulness diets, education, care, and sports, as well as corporate mindfulness.

Our association works closely with professional mindfulness trainers and universities in North America to promote mindfulness concepts and training techniques to develop mindfulness research. We hope to provide high-quality, scientifically certified, and systematic courses, workshops, and webinars for Mandarin speakers across the world. Moreover, we provide professional training sessions for Mandarin-speaking mindfulness trainers. We also offer free online courses and seminars to share mindfulness with more people. 

We has organized the following eight-week courses: Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), the Mindfulness Self-Compassion (MSC) Course, Mindful parenting Training, as well as Mindfulness and Psychotherapy course, in addition to workshops and lectures. Within this year, thousands of people have already benefited from these courses and embarked towards a mindful future.

With that being said, this is only the beginning of our journey. Our goal is to provide mindfulness services, advocate the spirit of mindfulness, and build a platform for the physical and mental well-being of all Mandarin speakers around the world. We hope to create a community so everyone can enjoy deep communication, focused listening, and systematic learning.

Our Vision

With the establishment of CCMA, We hope to promote and popularize the methods and concepts of mindfulness as well as guide more Mandarin speakers to learn about science of mindfulness and embark on a journey of introspective growth. We hope to cultivate concentration, awareness, compassion, and acceptance to nourish the lotus of mind and body and bear the fruits of wisdom.

Our vision is to gather high-quality mindfulness resources and use the power of group practice and companionship to help more Mandarin speakers to use mindfulness methods to release stress, enhance focus and awareness, as well as learn about acceptance and self-care. We believe that, with continuous practice, they can find the power within themselves, and got happiness.
